B IS FOR BABYLON ZOO

Some more techno pop from Babylon Zoo, sprinkled with disco magic by Arthur Baker.

Babylon Zoo was Jas (Jasbinder) Mann from the UK. He really wanted to be Trent Reznor but he wasn't that good. The tracks are taken from the 1996 single "Spaceman". This got to No. 1 in the UK and was huge but only because of the remix by Arthur Baker that sped up his dirgey vocals and turned an average song into a piece of pop genius. Babylon Zoo released an album, "The Boy With the X-Ray Eyes" but despite the success of "Spaceman" it wasn't terribly successful and he faded from view.

Thanks for the info....I remember it becoming huge after being the soundtrack to a Levi Jeans ad.
